flaglog: Pridnestrovie (1991-Present) February 23 was Red Army day in the Soviet Union. There’s only one country that still has the Soviet hammer and sickle on its national flag and that’s Pridnestrovie, an unrecognized breakaway republic in eastern Moldova. In recent years there have been proposals to change the flag to one based on the Russian tricolour.
